Honoring Baby Sophia: Supporting Seth & Kate
Donation protected
My brother Seth and his girlfriend Kate had been eagerly preparing for the arrival of their baby girl, Sophia. From the moment they found out they were expecting, their hearts were filled with love, excitement, and dreams of the beautiful life they would share with her. They worked hard to make sure Sophia would have everything she needed—a warm, loving home, a family ready to embrace her, and parents who couldn’t wait to hold her in their arms.
But just one week before her due date, their world was shattered with news no parent ever should receive, Sophia’s heartbeat couldn't be found. The sweet little girl they had waited so long to meet was suddenly taken from them, leaving behind an unimaginable void.
Seth dropped everything at work to be by Kate’s side as they faced the hardest moment of their lives. On March 11th at 8:30 PM, their beautiful daughter, Sophia, was born sleeping. She was a perfect 6 pounds and 19 inches long, tall like her daddy, with HIS BIG FEET. She had his dark, curly hair and her mama’s beautiful face. Though her time was far too short, she was deeply loved and will forever be their baby girl.
Seth is one of the most loving and caring people I know. I’ve personally witnessed countless moments that prove just how deeply he loves those around him. He works incredibly hard, often out of town, to provide for his family. And taking time off is the only real way he can be there for Kate as they try to process this unimaginable loss.
Our family has already endured so much heartbreak. We lost our mother just this past October, and a couple of years before that, Seth lost his father. And now, losing Sophia is another devastating blow.
As they grieve, we want to give them the time and space they need to heal without the added stress of work and financial worries. While they handle funeral arrangements and try to process their grief, they shouldn't have to worry about how to make ends meet.
I believe in supporting them in every way possible, which is why I am making the first donation of 10% of our starting goal. My hope is that this will encourage others to help, whether through a donation, sharing this page, or simply keeping Seth and Kate in their thoughts and prayers.
Any contribution, big or small, will go toward easing the burden of daily expenses so they can focus on healing. Thank you for your kindness, your compassion, and for standing with them during this heartbreaking time.
With love and gratitude, our FAMILY
