Honor Senator Maggie Glover's Legacy

Hello All!! First of all, if you truly know Maggie Glover, you know she hates attention and acknowledgement for anything she does so my mother is going to absolutely hate this So do not tell her!!!

We have the unique opportunity to celebrate and honor the legacy of Senator Maggie Wallace Glover, a woman of many "Firsts", a trailblazer who has dedicated her life to serving our community with passion, integrity, and unwavering commitment. Senator Glover made history as the first Black woman elected to the South Carolina Senate, and her numerous contributions have left an indelible mark on our state and beyond. Throughout her distinguished career, Senator Glover has been a fierce advocate for education, civil rights, and social justice. Her leadership in the Senate paved the way for significant legislative advancements that have improved the lives of countless South Carolinians.

Senator Glover was instrumental in securing increased funding for historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the state, ensuring that future generations have access to quality education. She also championed initiatives that addressed healthcare disparities, worked tirelessly for women's rights, and fought for the betterment of our local communities.

On August 29, 2024, at 6 PM, we will unveil "Senator Maggie Glover Way" at Majority Baptist Church in Florence, SC, a tribute to her lasting impact and a symbol of our deep appreciation for all she has done. To make this celebration truly special, we are reaching out to her many loved ones, friends, and the community she has served so faithfully, to contribute to a surprise gift for her upcoming birthday. This is a last-minute notice, and we understand that time is of the essence.

We are asking for donations in all denominations to show our collective gratitude to our homegrown SHERO. Whether large or small, every contribution will go towards creating a memorable tribute for Senator Glover, as a token of our appreciation for her many sacrifices and achievements. Please help us spread the word about this effort and share the link with others who have been touched by Senator Glover's work. We know the turnaround time is short, but with your support, we can come together as a community to honor a woman who has given so much to us all.

Of course, giving is not mandatory, but it is more than appreciated. We are also accepting prayers and well-wishes as we prepare to celebrate this remarkable woman.
