Help Us Cover our Sweet Cats' Emergency Vet Care
Donativo protegido
All funds over the goal will go toward our cat Chef's ongoing vet care! After a 3-day hospitalization and a week of tests, Chef finally has a diagnosis: immune-mediated hemolytic anemia. He's already doing a lot better but will need to stay on medications and visit the vet weekly to make sure his platelet count improves. Thank you so, SO much for your support. Even a few dollars makes a huge difference.
Update: in a really sucky turn of events, our cat Chef fell sick with a fever and had to be hospitalized this weekend. He is on day 2 of his hospitalization due to a high fever and low platelet count. The vet is working to identify the cause, and we're waiting on all of Chef's lab tests to come back. Any funds donated here will help us cover Chef's ongoing vet costs, which total $2000 so far. Thank you so, so much for your support during this difficult time.

Help Me Cover End-of-Life Costs for My Sweet Cat, Chip
Last month I said goodbye to my best friend, my cat Chip. He was by my side for 12 years. I loved (and still love) him beyond words.
Chip came into my life in the most incredible way. He was the alpha of a feral cat colony until he was kidnapped by a cat-hating neighbor and dumped across town. On his journey back home, he found my house. We started feeding him and he stayed. Later, we found a poster that said:
"THESE CATS HAVE BEEN KIDNAPPED! CALL US IF YOU SEE THEM!"
That call connected us to a couple who'd been caring for Chip’s colony. They came to see him and wept to find him safe and happy. They asked if we would adopt him, so he would be safe from the catnapper.
For the next 12 years, Chip made my life better. His biggest joy was spending time with me, resting his paw on my leg or holding my hand, purring in my lap, and following me around the house. I’ve never been loved like Chip loved me.
End-of-Life Care
When Chip was about 16, he faced several health issues, including arthritis and a failing pancreas. Although he fought like a champ, Chip eventually developed bone marrow cancer. We did everything we could to make his final months comfortable. This included weekly vet visits to monitor his health and an ever-growing list of medications. When Chip could no longer keep going, we asked an in-home hospice vet to help Chip pass. He drew his last breath peacefully in my arms.
We spent everything we had and put thousands on CareCredit to give Chip dignity, comfort, and peace at the end of his life.
How You Can Help
If Chip ever made you smile - or if you’ve known the love of a pet like this - I’d be so grateful for your help covering his final care, including all his medical costs and his cremation.
Anything you can give helps. Even $5 helps me pay off the debt and honors Chip’s memory.
Just you reading this and remembering Chip means a lot. Thank you so much for caring. Long live Chippy, the very best boy, forever.
