My family would like to thank every single person who has reached out and sent us words of love, sympathy, encouragement, your prayers, and your stories. Your outpouring of love for our family has meant the world, but your outpouring of love and grief for our mama, our daddy’s great love, has meant the most. If you knew Mama Holly, you adored her. God had His best day when He created my Mama, and we will never understand why He took her from us so early. As many of you know, our mother had been in a hard 20-month battle with long-covid. She would have continued to fight tooth and nail to stay here with her family, but the picture of her whole, running, healed, breathing deeply again in heaven is enough to hold us together. Our mama was inimitable, a bad-ass-but-always-a-lady, warm, kind, brilliant, golden, talented, beautiful, adventurous, selfless, creative, brave, our safest place, a friend to every stranger, and deserving of every crown she absolutely has laid at her Savior’s feet. She overcame so much in her life, but you would never know it. She never met a stranger. It didn’t matter who you were, you were welcome in her home and had a seat at her crowded table. If you are able to help my family with funeral expenses, that would be an amazing gift to us, and an honor in her memory.
