Hi, I’m Marcus Wiesenhart, president of Hofstra Esports at Hofstra University. We are running an event titled Hofstra Does Games Quickly (HDGQ), an event where we speedrun games to raise funds for charity. We are donating to The Trevor Project, a charity made to protect LGBTQ+ young people, offering them suicide prevention hotlines and advocating for a future that is more welcoming towards the LGBTQ+ community. Many members of our club, myself included, are in the LGBTQ+ community and we are all passionate about supporting The Trevor Project's mission and looking after all of our friends and family amongst our community. We hope that you will help us raise funds to create a future that is brighter and more hospitable for everyone.
