Our beloved Jade, a tiny 8-month-old, 4-pound micro Brussels Griffon, has been the victim of a shocking and brutal act of abuse that no innocent animal should ever endure. She is not just a dog to us—she is our baby, our family, and we are desperate to give her the healing she so desperately needs.

Jade is full of life. She is playful, goofy, and always ready for a cuddle. She loves running with her brother Booger and showering my children with affection. Her little presence lights up our home, and her sweet nature has made her an irreplaceable part of our family. But everything changed on May 10th—when Jade was brutally attacked by someone I trusted.

I never imagined that the person we allowed in our home would be capable of such cruelty. But the truth is, they were caught on our nanny camera, and what we saw is something I will never be able to erase from my mind. This person wrapped Jade in blankets, and for four excruciating minutes, they beat her and smothered her. I can’t even begin to comprehend the terror Jade must have felt during those moments. And then, to make it worse, this person violently threw Jade across the room, sending her flying through the air and crashing 12 feet away. When she hit the ground, her tiny leg broke.

Jade fractured her right arm in multiple places. But the physical pain is only part of her suffering. Since that moment, she has been terrified of people, constantly shaking, whimpering, and withdrawn. Our once joyful, playful puppy is now a shadow of herself, struggling to find peace and trust again. The emotional trauma she’s endured may take even longer to heal than the physical wounds.

I’m writing this with tears in my eyes and guilt in my heart. I feel like I failed Jade—I wasn’t able to protect her from this horror. But now, all I can do is fight for her and ask for your help. Jade’s injury is serious, and without surgery to place pins in her arm, she may lose her leg entirely. This is an urgent, life-saving procedure, and we are reaching out to anyone who will listen, anyone who has the compassion to help.
