My name is Capt. Jeff Sager of the Middlebury Fire Department. On Monday November 17th our brother Lt. Chris Shetler, his Wife and son Cayden welcomed into there lives twin boys Owen and Evan. Owen was born with a congenital heart defect known as  Transposition of the great arteries. He was born at Indiana University Goshen Hospital and from there taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital where he was diagnosed and later flown to Riley Childrens Hospital in Indianapolis. He had an emergency heart catherization and remains in stable, but serious condition. He most likely will have to undergo open heart surgery to correct this defect in the upcoming week. On behalf of Chris and his Family, I am asking for donations for any amount to help cover upcoming medical expenses, travel expenses and anything they may need to get through this difficult time.
