Veronica Portugal is 27 years old, and fighting for her life. Wednesday evening, February 11, 2015, Veronica, 22 weeks pregnant with twins, was admitted to the hospital. Veronica arrived to the hospital, in pain, concerned that she was in early labor. After examination, doctors discovered that one of the twins, Jonevan (boy) had passed away, due to Placental Abruption.  As a result, Veronica's cervix dialated rapidly forcing the delivery of both babies. Unfortunately, the gestation of the second twin (girl-Selah) was not far enough along for viability. Following delivery, Veronica experienced a postpartum hemorrhage and since has been fighting the consequences of that blood loss. Veronica remains in ICU under doctors care. Tony and Veronica had recently secured medical insurance, that was scheduled to take effect on March 1, 2015. These expenses will not be covered under that policy.
