My mother-in-law needs your help

My mother-in-law Joan Simpson is one of the sweetest ladies you'll ever meet. She's the most cheerful person I know. She's even a classically trained pianist. Whether she's playing Chopin on her piano, telling you all about General MacArthur or Sherlock Holmes or Charles Dickens, talking about the latest book she's read or classic TCM movie she just watched, Joan's infectious good humor and good nature just sweep you along and lift you up.

What you may or may not know is that Joan has been undergoing weekly chemo treatments for the last 20 months for metastasized cancer in her liver and lungs. If you talked to her she might tell you about it or she might not, but one things certain, she'll do it all with a laugh and a smile.

This is Joan's 4th cancer in 12 years. And yet thorough it all she continues to smile and never complain. She might get tired and a little depressed, but she'll keep laughing and she'll keep you laughing. So far her tumor markers have been kept at bay by the treatments so they are continuing to treat this cancer as a chronic illness thanks to the latest technologies.

I'm sharing this with you not just because Joan is someone everyone should get to know and love, but because the years of hospital bills and treatments have taken their toll on her finances and left her with many bills. She wouldn't ask for your help, but that doesn't mean I can't try and help her. I put together this GoFundMe campaign as a way for people to be able to help her if they can. Any amount would help, even $10 would go a long way to help her live her daily life with less worry.
