This fundraiser is being created to help support the King family in their time of need.

Holly King and her family were visiting San Diego, California from Maryville, TN for a weekend, and the unimaginable occurred.

Her husband was there for an extended work trip, and Holly, her three young children and her mother flew in to visit. As soon as she got off the plane, Holly was experiencing severe pain in her leg. At 20-weeks pregnant, this was concerning and she went to a local hospital for evaluation.

Holly had a severe infection that required emergency surgery, which resulted in a spontaneous birth of their sweet Hudson Cooper. Hudson arrived into this world at 4:08 am on February 7th, 2026, to immediately be in the arms of Jesus.

A second surgery was performed to prevent further infection, and Holly then experienced what was suspected to be a mild heart attack a few days later. She is currently still in the ICU and being cared for by an incredible team. She has an 8" incision on her leg that is being monitored for any worsening infection.

Hudson was held and loved on by his siblings before being prepared for his final resting place. A kind case worker set up the cremation for the family, and they will be able to take him home when Holly is cleared to return to Tennessee.

In the meantime, the family is paying for hotel costs and meals while staying in California to be near Holly. They have received the bill for cremation and the legal documentation costs for Hudson, and the medical bills will come in time. They are also going to be experiencing new travel costs with airline ticket changes, but it has not yet been determined if Holly will be stable enough to be on a flight (higher risk of infection when she is finally able to go home) when that time comes.

As of right now, Holly has no discharge plans, as she is severely ill. Any amount is appreciated to support this family, but a simple prayer or kind wish would be just as special.
