This fundraiser is to help aid Stephen and Jessica with medical expenses and loss of income.  The Howard family has been battling Shiga toxin E. coli, resulting in two of their daughters having to be hospitalized this month. Because of these unexpected events, Stephen has been out of work for the past month, while the medical expenses are piling up. Stephen and Jessica’s oldest daughter, Tynlee, is currently being hospitalized for HUS (hemolytic uremic syndrome), stemming from the E. coli. Tynlee has already received two red blood cell transfusions to help her body fight this bacteria, but if her platelets continue to drop, dialysis will be needed. Tynlee’s doctors state that it is very common for someone with her condition to have a two week hospital stay, so we are extremely thankful she is in such a wonderful hospital with a great team of doctors.
