Helping Myanmar Civilians

This campaign is dedicated to raising money for families in Myanmar that are effected by the military coup.
Since Feb 1,2021 Myanmar Military has been using violent forces to crackdown on peaceful protestors and launches air strikes in under develop regions in Myanmar. Many families in Karen states are now homeless and having to abandon their native villages to hide from the Military. Over 40 children lives has been violently taken away from the families by the Military's soldiers. The continuous air strikes have displaced more than 12,000 unarmed civilians, including children. During the two months of the coup, over 500 civilians lives has been lost, and many residents of Myanmar faces economic hardships and environmental disasters. The goal of our campaign is to help raise money for the families that are effected by the coup.
100% of the campaign donation will go toward helping these families with foods, shelters, medical bills and funeral funds.
I am requesting your help today because I can not save all the children by myself but together we can make a great difference in their lives. and we can help them more effectively.

The fight for democracy is just beginning in Myanmar. During the 2months span over 500 civilians have passed away, unfortunately this number will keep increasing and we do not know how far the military will keep committing these atrocious crimes against humanity.

About me:
My name is Thida (Rivkin) Aung, I was raised and born in Myanmar but now lives in Austin, Texas. I have been actively helping the Myanmar Community in Austin by organizing an annual Myanmar ethnic culture show with the Asian American Resource Center. I have also actively help rural areas in Myanmar with development of schools and communities. As a citizen of Myanmar and United States, it saddens me to see the people from my homeland going through challenging time. I want to be able to help and protect the vulnerable populations of Myanmar.
100% of the funds from this donation will be redistributed through official organization helping Myanmar, such as Free Burma Rangers and Karen Women Organization and in person donations to effected families members.
