Hi, I am Sailor Suarez. I am the daughter of Cindy Champagne. My mother got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back in June of 2020. We started a fundraiser back around when we found out she got cancer. Her surgeon from Jackson Ms, Dr.Orr has been helping my mom every step of the way. My moms chemo doctor , dr wall also has been helping my mom with chemo appointments. My mom was told that she was able to get whipple surgery Christmas 2020. During surgery there was a road block. Some veins had wrapped around the mass in her pancreas, making whipple surgery too risky. My mother had only raised enough money to help her get through Christmas because she had thought she was gonna be able to go back to work after whipple surgery. With Whipple surgery off the table pending more radiation and chemo, I’m asking for everyone to help continue donations for my moms medical expenses and living cost to help my mom. We have recently been told at my moms last appointment with Dr.Orr that he wanted her to finish 3 more months of chemo and radiation, then they could retry whipple again, however if whipple does not succeed, they will do a ire probe pancreas cancer surgery on her.
If you want to know a little bit about my mother, she is the best mom a daughter could ask for. She has 2 daughters, myself , Sailor Suarez, and Chanda Parish. She also has 2 grandchildren Gunner and Gaige. My mom has 2 awesome parents Susan “Sue” Champagne and Wayne Champagne. She has 2 sisters Shawndee and Darnel, and our awesome cousin Kim. She is loved by everyone in the family. My mom is 50 years old and still has a whole life to live with her family. She has lots of bestfriends that love her dearly. My mom is a one of a kind woman. She puts everyone around her first. I’m asking for any help so my mom can be free of financial stresses and can focus on kicking cancers butt!
