Helping Maria to walk independently

Dear Everybody, I'm starting a campaign to help my dear Friend and his Family in their journey. Please see the words of Masha's Father Alex below:

Hi Everybody! Dear Friends, we hope all of you are in safe place and doing fine! We would like to share some news with you: it's already 11 month passed since the date we did the surgery on a spinal cord for our lovely daughter Maria, and we would like to admit that the decision itself was correct and on time - spasticity gone,

and our daughter can freely move her legs and even do some short walks with the help of special equipment, like orthosis she is wearing constantly. And this is already the first BIG victory!

By endless hours of rehabilitation exercises we managed to keep her walking habits close to an average child, but still have one HUGE problem, which preventing Masha to walk independently,

to have ability to walk without help of any device. She cannot step on her right heel. We did several consultations with orthopedists from different countries,

and all of them are adamant that we need to do minor-invasive surgery called SPML, which can give her such massive benefit, as stepping out on a heel, on a full foot.

This also will relax other muscles and will fix the posture and walking.

This orthopedic surgery, which is scheduled for March 12, 2024. It's coming soon! We do not give up, but afraid cannot afford to cover this in full by our affords.

The overall bill is around 30 000 EUR, which consist of 21 145 EUR the surgery itself, + travel expenses, accommodation and rehabilitation for the first week after surgery.

Will be honest with you - we are not capable to cover this by ourselves and were forced to open this fundraiser.
