Helping Jeff Noel Fight His Way Back
On Thursday, January 15th, our lives were suddenly changed when our dear friend Jeff Noel suffered a devastating stroke. Jeff has been in the ICU at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma, WA ever since, fighting one of the hardest battles of his life.
The stroke has left Jeff with complete loss of control on the left side of his body, and he is currently struggling to speak. The road ahead is long and uncertain, filled with intensive physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Recovery will take time, determination, and resources, far more than anyone should have to face alone.
If you know Jeff, you know that asking for help is not in his nature.
Jeff has spent much of his life giving, to his family, to his players, and to his community. He is a devoted father to his two sons, Calvin and Cameron, and daughter Layla, always putting them first. He has been a baseball coach for as long as many of us can remember, shaping young lives on and off the field. Jeff was honored as the Volunteer of the Year for Federal Way National Little League, but accolades have never mattered much to Jeff. He prefers to serve quietly, without recognition, simply because it’s the right thing to do for his community.
Now, Jeff needs us.
At the time of his stroke, Jeff was between jobs and without medical insurance. The mounting medical bills from his ICU stay and the long-term rehabilitation he will require are overwhelming and could financially devastate his family. This is a burden no family should carry while also trying to focus on healing. The reality is heartbreaking as the average medical costs for a stroke and the care that follows can easily exceed $40,000, and that number continues to grow with every day in the ICU, every therapy session, and every step of recovery ahead. Jeff is facing this overwhelming burden without medical insurance, at a time when he should be focused solely on healing.
This is why we are asking for help.
Please consider donating if you are able. Your contribution, no matter the size, directly helps cover medical bills, rehabilitation, and basic living expenses for Jeff and his family during this incredibly uncertain time. If you’re unable to give, sharing this page can still make a powerful difference.
Jeff would never ask for help and hates being the center of attention, but those who love him are asking on his behalf.
Every donation, every share, and every word of encouragement helps lift some of the weight off Jeff and his family so they can focus on what truly matters: recovery, hope, and the long journey ahead. If Jeff has ever coached your child, volunteered beside you, or shown up to watch your child play, or simply been there when someone needed him, this is our chance to show up for him.
We are asking to raise $40,000, but we understand this is a lofty goal and we may not reach it. But the community around Jeff is powerful and will step up and help our friend.
