Health Crisis Help for Holly

July 25th Update:
1. We have another anonymous donor that is providing a "matching challenge" in honor of Holly's birthday on July 26th.  This donor will match 100% any donations from $10 to $50 that are made between now and July 30th.  Support of her health and recovery would be the most meaningful birthday gift for Holly.
2.  We have been fortunate to find an affordable (for Northern California!) interim housing situation for Holly, which has allowed her to focus on her medical appointments and health rather than the constant scramble around where she will be for the next few nights or week.  Holly is looking to relocate to a more affordable area of California as soon as her health is stabilized.  
3.  There are continuing diagnostic tests such as Ultrasounds, X-Rays, and cancer screening to understand some troubling symptoms and pain, even as she begins some proven treatment for Lyme's.  She has an extremely low count of key Natural Killer T-cell lymphocytes which is an indication of long-term Lyme's and/or other immunological conditions.  She had some additional tests this week and we are anxiously awaiting results to get a full picture of what is going on.
4. Holly is working hard through significant pain and debilitation to navigate both naturopathic and allopathic medical support resources and coordinate testing and treatment for what is an increasingly complex diagnosis. She is extremely grateful for the outpouring of support--both financial and emotional!

June 10th Update: 
1.   We have an anonymous donor that would like to provide a "matching challenge" and will match all donations between $25 and $50 made between June 10th and June 20th.  So if you are concerned that a small donation won't make a difference, it will!  It will be automatically doubled in value.
2.  Holly is so grateful for the outpouring of love and support.  I have shared the names of all donors with her, and I know when she can she will want to reach out and thank you all personally.  Right now she is focused on the critical activities around continuing testing and treatment.
3.  Family has stepped up to support Holly's expenses on an interim basis so that we can direct the GoFundMe to her medical care, and living expenses once the full treatment plan is established.   We will be providing regular updates here.

Holly's cousin Lisa is organizing this fundraiser on her behalf.

Holly has been struggling with significant progressive & debilitating health challenges for the last three years, and has struggled to get an accurate diagnosis. Recently, she received a diagnosis of advanced stage systemic Lyme's Disease from a medical practitioner & specialist in the area of rare & complex diseases. The doctor is alarmed by the state of her health and some of the co-infections, and indicates that it has entered her brain and central nervous system. The disease has become progressively debilitating so that she is currently unable to support herself. Her doctor is developing a treatment plan with the hope that she will be able to regain health.

Holly is currently in the process of further testing and beginning critical treatments. Advanced stage systemic Lyme's typically requires some alternative and experimental therapies and expertise that will not be covered by insurance, so she is working to integrate and maximize all available medical resources to cost-effectively pursue treatment. Currently, she is working to schedule a number of tests and lab work recommended by her doctor through these channels.

The GoFundMe would help to support her treatments & care, as well as assisting with her with living expenses in a difficult housing area, so that she can have housing security & stability to focus on her health for the next ongoing months. Our rough budget is:

$2000/mo for housing/ living expenses

$2000/mo for critical treatments & medications

We believe that 4 months of expenses will provide Holly the opportunity to stabilize her health. We will provide updates as Holly's diagnosis and treatment plan come into focus.
