Helping Hollis

In April, 2018, Hollis was undergoing a routine surgery.  He was receiving an implant to reduce sciatic pain.  Something went horribly wrong and he became paralyzed from the waist down.  

Hollis and I, his wife, are retired.  The VA refused to help because our annual income is more than their cap of $30,000 annually.  I am wheelchair bound due to a car accident and am also dealing with fibromyalgia, neuropathy, and three kinds of arthritis.

our need is assistance both day and night, as he must be turned every two hours to prevent and to treat bedsores.  Any help anyone will provide will be so wonderful!  Sitters run $10 to $14 an hour in our area.  We are trying desperately to avoid entering a rest home.

Our need is urgent as I can barely do the work required now.  We have some help but it is erratic and the contract will soon run out.
