Helping Harlow and Holguin Family
Spende geschützt
Our brother Mike Holguin is an EMT at AMR San Diego County and a reserve firefighter for San Miguel Fire and Rescue.
On Tuesday Mike's wife took their daughter Harlow to the ER while Mike was on shift.
From Mike:
"Over the last few days my wife and I have been in the hospital with our baby girl Harlow (3 years old). What started out as a visit to the ER has now turned into an admission to the PICU. After multiple tests, blood work, scans, testing her bone marrow, and a spinal tap we now know that Harlow has been diagnosed with Leukemia.
We are still waiting for further results to confirm the form of Leukemia but nonetheless, we are all in for a long road . We are trying to wrap our heads around what is going to be our new normal for the next year.
At times we’re angry, sad, questioning everything, and asking ourselves why, but we’ve been shown so much support in this little time by family, friends, and co-workers. We are so grateful. All of the Doctors, Nurses and Hospital staff have been so great and have made things just a little bit easier.
Harlow is also in great spirits and happy despite all of what’s going on. She is so strong and is such a fighter that we know she is going to hit this thing head on and beat it. All we ask for at this time is that if you could please keep our baby girl in your thoughts and prayers as we know there is strength and power in numbers. Thank you."
Let's help Mike stay home for a while and help care for Harlow and his family.
Thank you all!!!
