I’m raising funds for my uncle, Bob Savage, after a major fire damaged his business, Golf Carts of St. Augustine, on October 21, 2026. Bob has owned the business for 8.5 years, and it has served St. Augustine for more than 15 years. Over that time, the business has become an important part of the local community, and now Bob and the people who work there are facing a very difficult setback.
The fire caused layoffs and destroyed thousands of dollars of employees’ personal tools. Right now, they are trying desperately to keep the business afloat and keep local employees working. Bob’s main priority is his employees, and he will not be taking a paycheck so he can put them first.
This fundraiser is meant to help the people most directly affected by the fire. Donations will go toward keeping the business running during the rebuild, as insurance will not meet all the rebuild needs. It will also go to supporting current employees, helping employees who were laid off, and replacing the personal tools that were lost.
Golf Carts of St. Augustine is a generous and caring business. They often sell and/or repair golf carts at cost or heavily discounted. They have donated golf carts to several schools in St. John’s county for their athletic programs and maintenance departments. They also regularly donate to local charities and fundraisers. Bob has always been willing to help when someone needed it, and I would love to see that same support returned to him and his team during this difficult time. Any donations or shares would mean so much and would help relieve some of the immediate pressure as they work to rebuild.
