Helping Dmytro and Svitlana

Hi, my name is Donna King. My husband, Michael King and I, are sponsoring a couple from Ukraine under President Biden’s program,  “Uniting For Ukraine.”  

Dmytro and Svitlana arrived in Tucson on Monday, November 13th. It took Dmytro and Svitlana five (5) months to escape Ukraine. They took a 14 hour bus ride from Ukraine to Poland on Monday, November 7th, then another bus from Poland to Germany (22 hours). On Saturday, November 12, they flew from Frankfurt to LA and then from LA to Tucson on Monday, November 14th. 

Under President Biden’s program, Dmytro and Svitlana will be living with us in our home as “Parolees” until they are able to be independent. It would be an enormous help - financially - to be able to purchase them all the necessities they require since they were forced to leave all of their belongings behind. (They were only able to bring items which would fit in two [2] suitcases each.) The funds raised will go directly to them for clothing, food and other essentials. Anything you are able to contribute will be greatly appreciated.

Dmytro and Svitlana are refugees and will be living with us for two years. Dmytro has worked in IT and Svitlana was a Dentist. (Sadly Svitlana will not be able to continue as a dentist; she would have to go to Dental school in the US.)
