Helping Coach Kate

Hey Y’all!

My name is Carol and I am fundraising for my friend Kate.

So, she slipped and fell in her kitchen on Monday. She was washing her three gorgeous dachshunds, who sometimes get into mischief, and the tile floor got wet. As she was walking back into the kitchen, her right leg hit a puddle of water and slid forward while her left leg went backwards. Yes, she did the splits, and her left knee nailed the tile. She heard a horrible crunch / crack sound when her knee hit.

Long story short, she shattered her kneecap and broke it into FIVE pieces! She was able to get surgery done Friday at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. She is on the very long road to recovery.

She has an amazing group of caretakers, but unfortunately she will be unable to work for 8-12 weeks. The cost of surgery is overwhelming...and unfortunately, she doesn't have health insurance.

I know this has been an incredibly hard year for most of you...but if you can afford to donate even the slightest amount...Kate and I will be forever grateful. As you all know, Kate would do anything to help anyone and we need to help her out in this very difficult time. She hates to have to ask for your help in such a public way, but I am happy to do it for her.
