On February 1, 16-year-old Ashley Johns was involved in a one-car crash outside Wellsboro, Pa. She suffered several skull fractures and is still in the ICU an hour away from her home. Her family and friends have been there every step of the way. This girl is a fighter:when you stand by her bed and talk to her she will squeeze your hand if she's feeling strong enough, even though she can't communicate verbally yet. She still has a long road of recovery and healing ahead of her, but her family says doctors are optimistic.

Ashley is a junior at Wellsboro High School, where she loves to be with her friends and play soccer. She's an animal lover, and needs to get better to go home and be with her new puppy!
