Help Wilman Reach Oneonta

I am an ENL teacher. Every few years, a special person comes along, a person who deserves a chance and who, due to unfair circumstances and unpredictability, does not receive the true opportunity to flourish in life, even though his/her potential remains. This student, Wilman, is that student for me. Wilman, an outstanding soccer player, traveled to the US alone because of losing his mother tragically. Without a parent, he arrived in the US when he was just a minor, yet he was able to flourish in school and create strong bonds with his teachers and coaches. Quickly becoming one Long Island's top high school players, and highlighted in Newsday and News 12, Wil has been recruited to multiple colleges- one of which is Oneonta, who has graciously has offered him a large scholarship, but not covering room and board. These fees make it impossible for him to attend, but we, the staff who work closely with WIlman at Ward Melville High School , would love to band together to together to give Wilman a chance at attending college. Please help!
