Matt received his diagnosis of stage 4 lungs  cancer , 5 tumours in his brain , abdominal and pancreatic cancer over 2 years ago . Not knowing what was going to happen, he has battled this illness with courage and for the most part with a smile on his face. But more recently he has deteriorated and his chemotherapy treatment finished at the end of 2020 . Since then Matt has been living daily taking medication and just resting his body and trying to recover from the hideous side effects of the chemotherapy.
As you are all aware Matt has been back  at home recovering from his last hospital visit.
Matt is for the most part ok , however he is struggling with his eating and has lost an incredible amount of weight. With the emotional rollercoaster for everyone involved in this, Matt and ourselves have been discussing planning a memorable send off so that when Matt is no longer with us, the family and close friends won’t have the stress and worry of struggling with finances for this.
Therefore we are asking if family and close friends would like to provide any donation towards his send off .

Matt’s intentions have always been to donate his body to science once he passes. It has recently turned out that will not be the case and therefore alternative arrangements will have to be made. We would like Matt to have a celebration of life send off with family and close friends being able to attend a service. The plan is to have get together afterwards so that more people can join and meet up and celebrate our friend who has had an impact in many people’s lives.
