Save Tae Eun from Stage-4 Melanoma Cancer

This is Christina (Tae Eun). Our beautiful 26-year-old friend, fighting for her life.
Christina is our friend from middle school and high school — we rocked straight front bangs together, got detentions for talking too much in class, and learned every late 2000's K-Pop dances you could think of. Christina then went to Iowa State University to study Animal Science as no one can beat her love for animals.
She was diagnosed with Stage-4 Melanoma in November 2020 and has been fighting the deadly disease (22.5% 5-year survival rate) since.
She had surgery to remove two tumors (5.8cm x 4.9cm x 1.6cm and 0.2cm x 0.3cm) from her brain, only to be released from the hospital the day after Thanksgiving because she didn't have insurance. It was so devastating to hear from her doctors that, if she doesn't get treated immediately (chemotherapy and immunotherapy), she may not even be able to survive more than 6 weeks as of today.
Her only option at this point is to go to the Cook County Hospital, but the hospital has no successful experience treating such case so it is best for her to be treated at the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital where she had her surgery.
Some of Christina's symptoms include, but are not limited to:
- Seizure
- Depression/anxiety
- Body swelling
- Numbness
- Vomiting
- Nerve pain (neck, face, upperbody)
- Paralysis on the right side of the body
- Loss of consciousness
As her friends and sisters in Christ, we are fervently praying that she can be provided with the financial and medical help that she needs. In a desperate hope for her and her mom to lay down some of the financial burdens, our goal is to raise $100K for Christina to start her treatment as soon as possible.
All proceeds will go toward medical bills for Christina. We very much appreciate every prayer, encouragement, and donation.
