This is something we never imagined having to write.

Our sweet boy Kodi, who has been by our side for years, is suddenly facing serious and unforeseeable health complications. After speaking with the vet, we’ve been told the most loving and humane choice is to help him cross the rainbow bridge.

Kodi is truly one of a kind loyal, gentle, and filled with so much love. He has always had the softest eyes, the calmest presence, and a way of making everyone feel safe and comforted. He’s been a best friend to our kids, a steady companion through every high and low, and the kind of dog who just knows when someone needs him.

We are absolutely heartbroken.

On top of the emotional pain, the costs have become more than we were prepared for. Between emergency visits, medication, and the euthanasia/cremation fees, the total will be over $1,000. We want to give Kodi the peaceful, dignified goodbye he deserves without the added stress of finances.
