My name is Joseph, and this bus is our family’s home—something we poured our time, savings, and faith into renovating. This past summer, we completed a missions trip along the California coast, sharing the Gospel and serving communities along the way. Shortly after returning to the Redding area, a series of severe storms and atmospheric rivers moved through Northern California.
At first, we noticed a few small leaks in the ceiling, but we had no idea how serious the damage would become. After the last major storm, I was finally able to investigate further and discovered extensive mold hidden behind the ceiling and insulation. Initially, I didn’t realize the full extent of it, as our focus had shifted to caring for our daughters, who had become unexpectedly ill.
It has since become clear that the mold exposure was the cause of their sickness. What started as a few leaks has now turned into a much larger and more serious issue. We are facing the possibility of needing to replace the subflooring, insulation, and much of the ceiling to make our home safe again.
While I don’t yet know the full cost of repairs, the amount listed reflects what we have already invested and what we believe is needed to begin restoring the bus to a healthy living environment. Any support—whether through giving, sharing, or prayer—would mean more to our family than we can express.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. God bless.
