My wife and I are facing one of the hardest times of our lives. She has bipolar 1, and after being overworked and going without her medications, she experienced a severe mental health crisis. This led to her being hospitalized and now she’s in outpatient treatment, unable to work as she continues her recovery. We’ve tried every option—loans, cash advances, foundations—but we’ve run out of time and resources. Our rent, electric, water, and phone bills are all due, and we’re struggling to keep up while making sure my wife gets the care she needs.

We’re planning to move to New Mexico, where there are clinics and hospitals that can work with us on payments and provide the coordinated care my wife needs.
