My family is facing a difficult time, and we’re reaching out for help to keep a roof over our heads. My husband, Dean, saw his work dry up at the beginning of the year, and while it is starting to pick up a little, we’re still struggling. On top of that, being cut out of the artisan market I, Juliet, created—and losing the income it brought in—has made things even harder as we’ve tried to rebuild over the last year. Covering rent for the past few months has become a real challenge. Dean is a freelance comic artist, and he often doesn’t get paid until weeks after finishing a project.


We live together with our two adult children. Our oldest is working when possible and attending college, while our youngest is disabled and unable to work or attend school, so they need extra care. I also have chronic health issues that prevent me from working a typical job, though anyone who knows me knows I work as much as I can, just not during regular hours. Our options for income are limited until Dean’s work becomes steady again.
