Hurricane Dorian Relief for Abaco & Grand Bahama

I’m Gary J. Raser and my personal boat, along with many others we’ve organized, have begun traveling back and forth from Palm Beach to the Bahamas this week, delivering literally tons of supplies and hope to the Bahamian people we love. 

We will load our boats every other day with pallets of supplies, including thousands of bottles of water, prepared foods, canned goods and much, much more. Our plan is to load in Palm Beach on one day, deliver to the Bahamas the next day and then return to Palm Beach to do it all over again, day after day.

We guarantee that 100% of these funds will go directly to purchasing those much-needed items and life-saving supplies that will help begin their recovery.

Yesterday (9/10/19) alone, we spent $23,000 at Costco...all on food and water. Today (9/11/19), we going to Home Depot to buy 100 generators. We also spent $17,000 on fuel yesterday.

Hurricane Dorian devastated Grand Bahama and Abaco for days as a Category 5 hurricane, the strongest hurricane to ever hit those islands. The destruction is almost unimaginable but very real, with people trapped on the islands without food, water and the basic necessities they need to live.

For decades, the people of the Bahamas have been gracious and welcoming, not just to my family but to the hundreds of people we have personally introduced to these beautiful islands. Most of us involved in this relief effort have spent many, many years on these islands, whether visiting, fishing or enjoying the kindnesses that Bahamians are well known for.

This is our chance to pay it forward, not just by bringing these islands and these people the supplies they need, but by repaying the love they’ve shared with us for so long. Thank you very much for your donation!
