A few years ago, Urban Eats started with one goal: to bring people together over great food and genuine hospitality. What began as an idea grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined. Together, we served thousands of meals, catered birthdays, graduations, corporate events, apartment communities, and became part of so many celebrations across New Jersey. Along the way, we earned 124 five star Google reviews, built an incredible community of loyal customers, and created memories I’ll never forget.
Like many small business owners, this journey hasn’t been easy. Just recently, our food truck suffered a major mechanical failure. After meeting with mechanics and carefully weighing my options, I made one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make as a business owner. Instead of investing thousands of dollars into repairing a 20 year old truck with more uncertainty ahead, I’ve decided to pause operations and invest in building a stronger future for Urban Eats.
Our goal isn’t simply to replace a truck. It’s to build a hospitality business that can serve our community for years to come. Today, I’m asking for your help. Your support will help fund a new food truck and equipment, mobile bartending build out, kitchen equipment and upgrades, permits and licensing, and initial inventory and reopening expenses. Every dollar raised will go directly toward reopening Urban Eats. If you’re unable to contribute, sharing this campaign with your friends and family would mean just as much.
Over the past week, I’ve been overwhelmed by the number of people who reached out to check on me, my team, and the business. Your messages, phone calls, and encouragement reminded me that Urban Eats has always been about more than food. It’s about community. When we reopen, I want to honor that support by continuing to give back through community events, partnerships, and creating experiences that bring people together. When we re-open, I plan on paying it forward and supporting others in need, just as you have supported me. Thank you for believing in Urban Eats. Thank you for believing in me. This isn’t the end of our story. It’s the beginning of our next chapter.
