Help Unicorn Erin as she fights cancer ... Again

Erin has been diagnosed with Breast Carcinoma with Squamous Differentiation, after an almost year-long battle with Triple Negative Breast Cancer not once, but twice. This newly diagnosed cancer has metastasized into her liver and her lungs making her cancer Stage IV. This type of disease is very aggressive and even harder to treat than her original Triple Negative diagnosis. Erin is our unicorn because this type of cancer accounts for 0.2% to 2% of breast cancer cases worldwide.

We are told that this metastatic disease isn’t curable but can be stabilized with specific chemotherapy treatment. No new tumors, no continued growth, and a good tolerance to the medication would be considered a successful treatment response; however, this will be a lifelong battle Erin will face as the treatments would need to continue. While the oncologist is hopeful for a good treatment response, she did suggest this could be “life-limiting”. Currently, Erin feels great mentally, physically, and spiritually going into her first chemotherapy cycle which is scheduled to begin on October 18th. More follow-up scans will occur after three full cycles, so please pray for these next scans as they will be very telling as to how the path forward may look.

Erin is a single Mom to an amazing 10-year-old little girl. Kyleigh is in 5th grade and deserves to have as much peace and normalcy as possible. If you feel compelled to support Erin and Kyleigh, any amount will be helpful. Funds will go toward out-of-pocket medical bills, house cleaning and hired help for general home maintenance, meal ordering on nights she doesn’t want to cook, guilt-free rainy-day activities with Kyleigh and spontaneous, memory-making trips when Erin is feeling well enough to travel.
