Help Trans Teen Escape Indiana!

Hi guys,

My name is Peter. I'm a trans teenaged guy living in southern Indiana. I'm currently going to Purdue University, but I plan to transfer the University of Galway for this upcoming school year. I've struggled to come up with enough money for tuition*, despite receiving a scholarship and cutting expenses where I can. My family is supporting me in this move, but they are under a lot of financial strain right now, so they can't cover the costs. Any, and I mean ANY, help is appreciated!

I'm so scared. I've already lost access to hormone treatment once, but that was only for a 3 month period (when HRT was banned for minors). Looking at the way things are unfolding in my home state (Indiana), I stand to lose access to testosterone for much longer and I don't have a plan of getting it without a prescription. I've been on testosterone for long enough that I fear if I have to go without it, my immune system will suffer, not to mention the extent that hormone therapy has saved me and healed my self-image thus far. I don't feel safe in this country, as many of you can probably relate to or sympathize with.

I don't need to tell you how horrifying this country's policies have become in such a short time. Witnessing trans people being targeted has left me fearing whatever new law designed to erase my personhood will be introduced next. This is only compounded by the fact that I'm already facing difficulties getting out of Indiana in the first place.

Before applying to the University of Galway, I'd already signed a lease to an apartment I intended to stay in for my next school year at Purdue. Since I'm leaving, I can no longer afford to pay rent on this apartment (total expenses are $830 monthly*) and for wherever I'm living in Galway. I've tried desperately to sublease to someone, but with no luck so far :(

This is also on top of the tuition at the University of Galway, which I have no idea how I'm going to afford. Even with a 2,000 euro scholarship, yearly tuition is around 25,000 euro* along with however much I'll be paying in rent.

I hate feeling this defeated. With every step forward I take, this move becomes more and more complicated. But, health-wise, I simply can't afford to live in Indiana. However, financially, I can't afford to move to a place where I feel safer. Any help is greatly appreciated, even if it's just sharing my campaign.
