Update #2:

Matthews services will be held on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 at 11am. They will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 2 Buckingham St, Oakville, CT 06779.

Regardless of who you are or what your background is, please remember that there is a large family, and so many friends grieving this unimaginable loss, so please remain respectful and cordial at all times, just as Matthew would want.

I just wanted to thank everyone who has shared, donated, and sent kind words along the way. My family truly appreciates all of the help. I will update the go fund me once we have dates set up for Matthew’s services.

Hi, my name is Mikayla, the sister of Tony Venuto, sister in law of Jayme Champagne.

As many already know, on Saturday, September 27th, my nephew, Matthew(Haze) Champagne unexpectedly and tragically left this world behind. Anyone who knew Matt knew he was a bright, bubbly, goofy guy, who would give anyone the shirt off his back and help anyone in their time of need. Right now, his family needs your help. After the unexpected and tragic loss of Tammy(Jaymes sister) just a few months ago, the family has taken a major financial hit between her services, and taking on four of her five children. Now, they need help coming up with costs associated with the loss of Matthew. Tony and Jayme are ones to help anyone anytime they’re asked, now it’s our turn to give back to a couple so willing to help others and give to others.
