Hi everyone!! I'm not sure to write, because I feel awful that I need to ask for this. I knew when Cat was a tiny baby that she was going to be complex. She had her first major life-saving surgery before she turned one year old, then was in perfect health until just a few years ago. Now, though she's on multiple medications, her quality of life is still excellent. She's a happy, silly, naughty kitty who loves nothing more than to lounge around on scratchy boards, cuddle in my lap while I work, listen to musicals (she loves Wicked and Les Mis) and chase soccer balls.

She's having surgery again on Tuesday the 28th. This is a totally new and isolated problem. It has nothing to do with her now-well-managed longterm condition. For the first time, this was urgent, but not an emergency surgery. She has stones in her bladder that need to be removed partially because they're hurting her, and partially to learn what caused them and how to prevent them.

The original estimate for this surgery was over $6000. Thankfully, because it's a more routine and non-emergent surgery, her regular vet (vs the specialty vet) is able to do it for us for half the cost.

When Cat first got sick, I was on a pre-law track in undergrad. Ten years later, I'm disabled and unable to finish grad school. I work two jobs and still only manage to pay my bills purely by luck. I desperately wish that I was in a position to completely cover this on my own. I desperately wish I did not have to ask for help again for my sweet, complicated girl. I tried to find any way around having to make this that I possibly could. But I ran out of options, so here I am.

If anyone can help in any way, just a few dollars or a share, I would be eternally grateful. My baby girl still has many happy years ahead of her. I won't let this rob her of them.
