My name is Michelle. I met Tim while we were prospects for the hit TV show - ALONE on History Channel. We both made the show, participating on Season 6.
Tim experienced a life changing injury while self filming during the show. After slipping, he ruined his left knee, taking him out of the competition early.
The TV show does not take any responsibility for injuries that happen while we are participating on the show, the medical bills are left to those who sustain them for the purpose of entertainment.
Tim is a guide, and his livelyhood 100% depends on his ability to be mobile. After trying to work to be able to pay for the left knee surgery, he now also needs the right knee replaced due to trauma. A double knee replacement for a guide is enough to put him in the ranks of unemployment while he is recovering. The surgery is already scheduled for later this month in May, and with all the various factors added in, it can run Tim anywhere between 20 and 40 thousand USD.
