Help the W.A. U18 Girls Softball Team GO FOR GOLD!

Hi! My name is Mel and I am hoping to raise money for our Western Australian Under 18 Girls Softball Team to assist them in their journey to the 2022 Australian National Softball Championships, which is being held in Sydney from Thursday 14th - Sunday 17th April.
Due to a last minute desicion by Softball Australia, the 2022 U/18 Australian National Softball Championships have now been moved from our home turf here in Perth to Sydney (because of W.A.'s border restrictions). With only 6 short weeks before the tournament, our team now has to cover the unexpected costs for flights and accomodation.
We all know that hard times have fallen on many W.A. families during this seemingly endless COVID epidemic and extra financial outlay means, not only extra stress on families, but may mean some players can no longer participate. Adding to the cost this year is Softball Australia's condition that all Junior player's must be accompanied by at least one family member... so double the cost of flights and accommodation for all families.
Our team has lost players.
The repercussions of players pulling out of the team is not only disappointment for all, but also a higher finanacial burden for the remaining players and coaching staff.
OF THE ORIGINAL SIX (6) WESTERN AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR TEAMS SELECTED THERE'S ONLY TWO (2) TEAMS LEFT STANDING.
I would hate for our girls to miss out on, what is for some, their last year representing our State as a Junior player.
In the hope of relieving some of the stress on families and trying to ensure no more of our girls miss out on the opportunity/honour of representing their state, I have started this GoFundMe.
Monies raised will be put towards the cost of travel, accommodation and uniform requirements.
Please dig deep and share whatever you are able to help our Under 18 Girls in their plight to take out the 2022 AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS.
