The Stoner family has become dear friends to so many of us through their deep connectedness, unwavering commitment to the Millersville / Penn Manor community, and their down-to-earth nature that shines through when you get to know them. Your kids may have grown up with their kids on the soccer fields as they've poured their hearts into coaching through elementary and on to high school. Shandra's prior leadership and partnership with The Loft of Millersville had an impact on the community as she organized volunteers, grew the ministry, and invested countless hours and resources - along with their kids - into touching the lives of community members who found themselves in a tough place. Their home has become a hub and a safe space for Penn Manor teens who have been a part of TM2, where they give a listening ear, an encouraging word, the camaraderie of laughter and connection, a plate of food, a place to BELONG. They have a way of just being authentic while sharing a cup of coffee or playing a game together or sitting around a campfire. Their careers reflect servant leadership in the classroom and the hospital, and even as their older kids step into adulthood, they are demonstrating the same qualities of service and leadership.

I know them as family, since Shandra and I are cousins who grew up together. It's been a gift to live closer to them these last number of years.

Now they themselves are in the position of needing tangible support as they currently face a significant challenge with one of their children that has required their immediate and focused attention for the good of their family. While respecting their privacy, it is enough to say they are focused on ensuring their child has access to the care and resources essential for their well-being, healing, and future stability. Nate and Shandra have taken a difficult step of faith toward pursuing very specialized support even though it comes with considerable financial strain. Funds raised will go directly toward covering the costs associated with this care over an extended period of time. Their faith in a faithful God is central to who they are, and they are confident that none of them are alone in this journey and that there is HOPE and a future for their child.
