Help the Speer Family

Donation protected

This sweet family has been hit by Covid. We "met" a while ago and have quickly formed a new friendship; mainly their daughter and my oldest (7 year old). When my daughter found out that her new friend and entire family had been hit by Covid she was devastated; as was I. They have been through A LOT, due to toxic mold and we actually met as they were in the middle of packing to go to a hotel; while renovations were being done on their home. Jennifer Jennifer Speer is optimistic and is a fighter who loves her family. Check out what she posted here and please consider giving to help her family as this season has brought on just immense amount of debt; especially with Covid hitting them hard.

"Covid-19. It’s everywhere. It seems it’s touched all our lives’ in so many ways, and for our family, we got real up close and personal with it over the past 3 weeks. We still don’t know for sure where we got it. But it started with the babies. Our youngest (14 months) had around 5 days of low grade fever, runny nose, sore throat, and generally just not being himself. The 7 year old was next and had it for a day. Then came my husband. He has type I diabetes. We’ve spent the past year also living in and trying to fix and heal from toxic mold exposure. We knew he’d get hit hard if he ever got it, and we’ve been preparing since 2020. And he got hit like a train. Within hours, he had full on body aches, sore throat, fever, and coughing. We immediately started him and me on an early intervention protocol. The next morning, I had a fever and body aches and head congestion. Things are kind of a blur from there. Our 9 year old daughter got it and recovered in a few days’ time somewhere in the first week. And It’s now been 13 days for me. And in those nearly two weeks, we’ve had IV infusions, antimalarials, ivermectin, antibiotics, steroids, breathing treatments, aspirin, a host of vitamins and supplements…..the list goes on an on and most recently includes a chest xray and supplemental oxygen at home for me. My husband was eligible for monoclonal antibody therapy, and that’s made a big difference in his road to recovery. I was sadly not eligible due to pre-existing autoimmune disease. So we’re still fighting. I’m still fighting. We are grateful to God that we’ve not had to leave our 4 babies and be admitted to the hospital, but we still (me specifically) have a long way to go. I’ll be on oxygen and medications for a while. I struggle to stay out of bed for more than a quick trip to the bathroom. My balance is off. My ears have been stopped up for 2 weeks. I’ve been experiencing visual disturbances that make it hard to read or type (this has taken me nearly half an hour to get down). I still cant taste or smell. I just really want to wake up from this nightmare and covet your prayers for healing. My God is bigger than these symptoms. My God is bigger than the enemy’s attempt to steal from us and destroy our finances. Even Covid has to bow to Jesus. Please stand in agreement with me for full recovery with no lasting symptoms and for miraculous provision for our family. Thank you."
