LATEST UPDATE:
Kelsie remains in very close ongoing treatment after her bone marrow transplant. She is making progress, but has regular set backs as her body adjusts to the procedure.
**There has also been a new mutation that has been found in her most recent bone marrow biopsy, which has really thrown her progress, and the doctors who treat her, for a loop. Unfortunately, it is unclear what this means yet for their future as they continue to test and try to figure out what is going on.**
As you can imagine, there are many side effects, reactions etc. from receiving the initial bone marrow. Most of this has been incredibly difficult and uncomfortable, but Kelsie is a warrior and continuing to fight.
Phil is hard at work, still acting as Kelsie’s full time caretaker while he continues to receive weekly and monthly treatments for his autoimmune condition.
The transplant process requires a year minimum of strategic close management and remains Phil and Kelsie’s full time focus and fight. Through this whole time, they are still unable to work steady jobs in order to keep them afloat financially. This is their current greatest need; to receive funds to help them continue to live while they are receiving treatment.
I am resurrecting this GoFundMe to try and give them some financial relief to be able to pay for extra overhead, bills, food, gas, unexpected car repairs etc. during this time.
Each week is a roller coaster as they troubleshoot ongoing diseases and actively work towards a safe recovery and successful transplant. They are getting treated at multiple facilities and it’s still a hands on process. Kelsie is battling clots and immobility and also had an accidental fall a couple weeks ago that caused some significant bleeding, from blood thinners, and a fractured rib.
All of this is taking its toll so let’s love on them and send them some money to relieve the worry about the daily necessities of life.
Thank you for your care and prayers!

Hi! My name is Krystal and I am helping two of my dearest friends in the world during the most challenging time of their lives.
If you know Kelsie & Phil, you know what generous and incredibly precious people they are. As long as they have been in my life, they have given to and been there for my family in any way they can.
Since 2019, both of them have faced serious health issues requiring ongoing emergencies and hospitalizations that have made every day life more challenging. And as two vibrant 30 somethings, this has taken quite the toll on them physically, emotionally and financially.
Kelsie was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer that, from the beginning, has posed constant challenges, including an emergency splenectomy and stroke. She has been treated at multiple cancer research centers and been working with several top specialists around the country. Phil is fighting an autoimmune condition, Ankylosing Spondylitis, that attacks his tendons and spine. He receives regular infusion treatments in hopes to fight off the excess inflammatory response his body is generating and slow the progression of the disease.
The most recent struggle has been Kelsie's ongoing multiple hospitalizations. Her body has not responded well to any and ALL of the recent treatments and it has left her in debilitating pain and in the hospital seeking answers through any treatment they can think to throw at her.
They are exhausted, away from their home most of the time, and unable to work any steady jobs to keep their life afloat.
I am hoping we can love on them and send them money for day to day expenses such as meals and gas money for Phil as he travels to and from home and gigs and back to the hospital to see Kelsie, as well as support for more long term costs to continue to pay their bills as they pile up with little work to offset the cost.
Help me love on these incredible people who are going through something so painful and unknown. We can't be there in person, but we can be there with our love and generosity.
