Dear friends and community,
My brother, Brandon McDaniel, and I are reaching out during this incredibly difficult time as our parents have tragically lost our family home in the Eaton fire that ravaged our beautiful city of Altadena and the homes of so many of our loved ones. Our parents, who have lived in their home since 1999, devoted decades of hard work — to fill this home with love and cherished memories. Our dad has dedicated over 40 years of service to the LA County Probation Department, and our mom spent four decades helping others secure mortgages for their dream homes. This home was the result of their hard work, sacrifices, and unwavering dedication—a place where they should now be reaping the fruits of their labor and focusing on retiring this year, as they planned, rather than starting over from scratch.
My brother and I grew up here, surrounded by warmth, laughter, family gatherings, and countless milestones. Any help you can provide would mean the world to them as they navigate this incredibly challenging time.
The funds collected will solely be used to cover unexpected expenses that are not being covered by insurance and any other disaster relief aid.
With love and gratitude,
The McDaniel Family
