Help the Magnus Clan Relocate to Stockholm

The time has come, the Magnus's are moving to Stockholm! As you know I have been offered a full time position by Paradox in their Headquarters in Stockholm, huzzah!

Because of Covid the move wont be happening immediately though, which is kind of a good thing, as it gives us time to plan better. We are currently shooting for Mid-January for being settled in, which means moving will most likely occur in the December 2021 to January 2022 range.

Now, as to why we are here. Paradox will cover some moving expenses. They will pay for government paperwork, plane tickets, and moving the pets. That leaves all other moving expenses on us. As you might expect, a trans-Atlantic move is very pricey. We have talked to over a dozen moving companies, and all quotes put physically moving our lives from Orlando to Stockholm at 9,000 to 10,000 USD. A huge bill. 

The way it works is you pay for cubic footage of space taken up in a cargo container. So, it is possible to get that number down a bit by leaving items behind. But, that leaves us in a situation where we have to replace expensive furniture when we get there, so net neutral. Either way we're on the hook for about the same amount. 

Obviously we will be making the move no matter what, its too amazing of an opportunity to pass on. But not driving ourselves into debt to do it would clearly be preferable. Several community members have expressed interest in helping out in what way they can, and this is clearly the best solution, as the least amount of money is lost to the middle man. This campaign will stay live till we have the final details set in stone, and I will continue to post updates on the move as we get them.
