Dear friends and community members,

It is with a heavy heart that we have to create to GoFundMe.

The Ridgeview Middle School and Quince Orchard High School Community has lost a young member to tragedy.

Over the weekend, Jose Manuel Zavala Marquez was murdered. You can google the name for the story details but that's not the point. His family desperately wants to give him a proper funeral and lay him to rest in peace.

Jose leaves behind siblings at both QOHS and RMS and in our community we help each other when tragedy strikes. We want to help The Zavala Marquez family during this awful time have one less thing to worry about. Let's help them cover their funeral costs.

If you are willing, able and find it in your heart and wallet to help the Zavala Marquez family, please use this platform to make a donation. No amount is too big or too small.

To be fully transparent: I, Stacy, started this GoFundMe after speaking with our school's Parent Community Coordinator about this situation. We are working to arrange for these funds to directly pay the funeral home for the memorial costs.
