Help the DeBarros Family Rebuild - Marshall Fire
Donation protected
The DeBarros family came home this morning to find they were among the unlucky ones whose homes were burned down by the fast-moving wildfire that ripped through Louisville and Superior so suddenly this week. Rob, Audrey and their teenagers Nate and Elyse are of course shocked and devastated to find they lost everything. Thank goodness they have each other, and they have us - our community where they have always given so much. Audrey is the executive director of Commuting Solutions, a nonprofit that promotes public transport in the area, and is on the recreation advisory board for the City of Louisville. Rob is a part-time courtesy clerk for the Safeway in Erie. Their daughter Elyse is at CU Boulder, where she is studying mechanical engineering and plays ultimate frisbee and Nate is a senior at Monarch HS. You have probably seen them doing various feats of strength at the Rec, always with a smile. While this is a very rough and sad moment for this family, it's a wonderful thing that we can be there for them! You can see from the photos, they will need, well, pretty much everything, and pretty much immediately. That's their car in the garage! Like most, they got out with the clothes on their back. Please give what you can.
(Fundraiser set up by DeBarros family friend Nicole Volpe Miller, and 100 percent will go to them to start over! Posted with permission from Audrey Debarros. Questions please contact Nicole.)
