My name is Tareq Ziad Abu Shahla. I’m 24 years old, a student of Computer Systems Engineering, and the sole provider for my family of six. I used to have a small home, a dream, and a taxi office that I worked hard to build. But everything was destroyed by the ongoing war in Gaza.

We’ve been displaced more than six times. We now live in a tent with no electricity, no clean water, and no access to basic needs. The tent we are in was lent to me by a relative. I don’t know how much longer we can survive like this. I lost my laptop which I used for my studies, and now I can’t even continue my education.

Life has become unbearable. The prices are extremely high, there are no jobs, and no real support. I’ve received no help since the beginning of the war almost two years ago. I’m not just asking for money—I’m asking for a chance to live with dignity, to give my family a safe place, and to return to my studies and rebuild what we lost.
