Help Suzie Heal

On the evening of September 22, while caring for one of her grandchildren, Suzie fell down the stairs of her Pennsylvania home and shattered her left femur bone.

After waiting four days for a trauma specialist to be available for surgery assistance, and being transported to a hospital that had robotic surgery equipment, they were finally able to operate. The surgery took over four hours, and they successfully attached a plate and several screws to stabilize her repaired femur. The doctors have said that now we need to wait, to make sure her body won't reject the plate and screws. If all goes well, she will be transferred to a rehabilitation center where she will learn special physical therapy excersizes and how to walk again.

This will all take several weeks and it will be at least 6 months before she will be able to work again. Suzie was working as a waitress, and this job was her only source of income, as she is single. And she may even have to find a new field to work in because of her injuries.

During this time her bills will pile up, most importantly her rent and the cost of medical bills. Suzie is one of the most loving, caring and giving people I know. She lives for her grandchildren, and the time she will be spending away from them is going to be difficult for her, to say the least. If anyone feels led to help Suzie by donating some funds to during this trying time, I know it would mean the world to her.
