Help support the Tackett Family

What was meant to be a fun-filled weekend of cheering on our daughters at a cheer competition turned into a traumatic, life-altering experience for our family.

During the event, a frightening incident caused thousands of people to rush in panic, fearing an active shooter. In the chaos, my sister-in-law suffered severe injuries—breaking her ankle on one leg and fracturing both her tibia and fibula on the other. She is currently hospitalized in Dallas and heading into her first surgery to repair one leg. The doctors stated the other leg has too much swelling to operate at this time.

To make matters more difficult, my in-laws live two hours away, so they are now stranded in Dallas, away from their home and support network. As we all know, the overwhelming challenges of post-surgery, being out of work for an extended period of time, and not being able to drive due to the type of injury all bring financial burdens each and every day.

We are asking for your help to provide some financial relief during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward their expenses, travel costs, loss of work hours, and staying in Dallas while she awaits the second surgery.

We are beyond grateful for your support, and we feel fortunate that this situation wasn’t worse. Thank you for helping us through this challenging time.
