My name is Sushil, a dear friend of Rafi just like you all. I am shocked beyond words can explain as all of you about his sudden departure to heavens leaving his beautiful family and friends alone. Rafi left for India from US for good at the end of March’ 21 and got infected with COVID. He fought 3 weeks for his life in the hospital and unfortunately couldn’t make it. He took his last breath on Sunday (May 17th night). I along with other friends’ setup this GoFundMe page for the sole purpose of providing financial assistance to Rafi’s family going forward in their time of need.
Rafi was a great dedicated father of 2 beautiful young daughters, a loving husband, a true friend. More than that he is a great human being with kind heart beyond words. For the past 15 years he religiously donated 5% of his salary to others who are in need. He continued this noble/great work till the last minute even when he was about to be admitted to ICU. He always was the first person to give to the needy. Anyone who met him will agree that It is very hard to see him without his signature and contagious smile. He made an immediate and everlasting impression on anyone who get in contact with him and cherished and maintained the friendship by staying in constant touch. He touched so many lives in his short stay here with us.
He leaves behind a doting wife, (Sabreen Syed) who is a homemaker and 2 beautiful young daughters Fiza Syed (10 years), Sana Syed (07 years) and he was the sole breadwinner of the family. The bitter truth is It is impossible to bring Rafi back, but we all can come together and support his beautiful family moving forward. His family is now all our family.
We are trying to raise funds to support his family financially to support his Kids education, Family maintenance and other medical expenses. We urge all the friends, acquaintances and well-wishers of Rafi to kindly contribute generously to this noble cause. Friends, please remember every penny count.
