Help Support My Mother’s Battle with Breast Cancer

As some of you know, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in June of this year. As you can imagine the news has turned our lives upside down but we have been determined to help her with getting the best care to fight this fight.

Immediately after her diagnosis, she began weekly chemotherapy treatments. Unfortunately, there were complications and setbacks due to her previous diagnosis of MS. This included a temporary total loss of mobility that required a hospital stay and physical rehab therapy to help her become mobile again and safely resume chemo. She is currently undergoing treatments every week again and we have continued working hard to ensure she has a solid team around her to help avoid these complications. She has Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Nurse visits at home to help moniter her side effects after treatment. We have also been making changes to her living space to make sure all of her mobility needs are being safely met as they change throughout her treatment. The mental and physical toll this has taken on her is substantial, as well as myself as her sole care provider.

While we are grateful for the insurance coverage she has, it still leaves significant out-of-pocket costs, including co-pays, medications, and further updates needed for her living space.

Any financial help you can provide would make a meaningful difference in easing all of our stress and allowing us to continue focusing on her health, recovery and future surgeries.
