Help Laurie Bungard fight Stg4 Hodgkins Lymphoma

Donation protected
Hello,
I want to tell you about one of my best friends, Laurie Bungard. She is loving, loyal, funny, intelligent, hard-working, been through hell and back, and she's all around a decent and wonderful human being. Laurie is a proud mom of two beautiful and extraordinary kids. She is always taking the lead, or at the very least, supporting everything involving the people and causes she cares about. She is always the first one at an event — setting up, picking up food, running tables, fundraising, organizing, ride-sharing, etc. And she's the last to leave after cleaning up and making sure everyone is safe and happy and that the place looks better than she found it. Laurie organizes people like it's her job. In her neighborhood, she was able to get an elderly woman's roof replaced with volunteers and donations. There are few people in our school district who haven't benefited from her efforts, whether it was McKnight PFA events, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, NA Marching Band, Girls Wrestling, and the list goes on and on and on.

Laurie is currently going through a barrage of personal challenges that would bring most people to their knees. But she is still standing tall, and she's still trying to be everything she ever was to everyone. Six months ago, Laurie was diagnosed with Progressive Aggressive Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma which has spread to her liver, spleen, and bone marrow. She is currently halfway through her chemo treatments and still standing despite the physical toll it is taking on her body. The chemo will likely not be the end of her treatment, as she could need surgeries for the affected organs and possibly a bone marrow transplant. Cancer absolutely sucks for the diagnosed and their families. The financial burden it poses to a single person, let alone one with children, is debilitating. Laurie should be able to focus on using her energy to spend time with her kids and not worrying about anything but getting better.

Laurie is a person that, despite her impulses to help everyone, does not ask for help easily, so I have taken it upon myself to do the asking for her. If you can find it in your hearts to give a little or a lot, we can, as a group, make her life a little easier. After all, that's how she lives her life — in service to others — and how she's raising her two awesome kids.

Please share this with your families and friends and anyone who knows Laurie.

I thank you in advance and wish all the love, health, and well-being you need.
